Dr. K V S Mahesh

Dr. K V S Mahesh is Director and Consultant Diabetologist at Dr. Mahesh Diabetes Speciality Hospital and Research Centre, Bangalore, where he has been practising since 2011. Earlier, he did his Postgraduate training at M V Hospital for Diabetes and Diabetes Research Centre, Chennai (1999-2001), after which he served at the same institution for three years as Consultant Diabetologist. He then worked at Mallige Nursing Home and Sir M V Centre for Diabetes (Vyalikaval) in Bangalore, for a total of just over five year. Just prior to his current post, Dr. Mahesh served for two years as Director and Consultant Diabetologist at M V Centre for Diabetes, Koramangala.

Dr. K V S Mahesh has attended many conferences, workshops and training programmes in Diabetes. On the other side of the fence, he has been a speaker as well as chaired numerous sessions at Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes held for general physicians and general medical practitioners. He has conducted many free diabetic camps in rural areas and has used various forums including television to educate diabetes patients on the self-management of their ailment.

Dr. Mahesh’s areas of interest are Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Diabetic Foot and Gestational Diabetes.
